Restaurants

You will find two restaurants from our island. Ravintola 12" serves all year around. The restaurant has been named after the rare 12 inch Obuhov canons. Our other restaurant is right by the harbour and is fittingly known as RantaBistro. In Finnish "ranta" means "the shore". RantaBistro is only open during the summer season.

Ravintola 12''

Ravintola 12" got its name from the island's rare, massive 12-inch Obuhov cannons. Experience the unique atmosphere in the former dining hall of the Tsarist-era garrison. Today, the hall serves customers from hearty breakfasts to high-quality dinners, not forgetting, of course, lunch!

We cook with love and focus on offerings from local producers as well as fresh, seasonal ingredients. Our menus feature a good balance of both meat and vegetarian options.

We are open year-round. From June to the end of August, we are open daily, and outside of the season, by reservation. Our À la Carte dishes can be found on our website, and we update our lunch menus on our Facebook page during the summer season!

RantaBistro

The red cottage located at the harbor, built in 1914 and one of the first fortress buildings, is now known as the RantaBistro. RantaBistro opens in June and offers casual outdoor dining under the shade of umbrellas well into the autumn.

Delicacies prepared from high-quality ingredients expand to include evening dishes from the outdoor grill during the summer. Stop by for coffee or wine, enjoy fresh pastries – there's something for everyone!

Take-away orders are also available.
